New Computer Operational

Well, I have the basics up and running — Outlook Express, Avast anti-virus, Firefox (thank the gods; I love it, and dislike IE with a passion), and I even managed to get my Dvorak keyboard loaded.  I’ve been using it so long that having to cope with a Qwerty keyboard makes me feel about half-crippled!  I’ll probably be finding stuff I’ve forgotten, and downloading it, for a couple of weeks, but at least I’m functional again.  Now to get my bookmarks reloaded … :)

SwampWoman, if you see this, I tried to e-mail you the same information, but my mail server didn’t like your address — I have no idea why.

Down Time for New Computer

I was lucky, and was able to pick up my new computer a couple of days early, so I’ll be out of touch once I finish letting people know.  I don’t expect to be away too long, but given my Very Slow Dial-up, it could be a couple of days before I get the essentials downloaded (anti-virus/spyware/ad/popup, Firefox, a couple of others).

I’ll be back as soon as I get reorganized.  In the meantime, beer’s on the house.  :)
