Because I can’t think of a good one! I do believe I’ve mentioned that problem before …
This has been one of those little-bit-of-everything days. The transmission shop for the annual checkup (we have one of Aamco’s last lifetime warranties), Wal-Mart for some velcro for the next tunic, the model plane store for some thin CA for me (I use it more for tatting than for model planes, but finding thin CA isn’t easy anywhere else) and some small hardware for Mr. E … that sort of thing.
I got some fine steel wool to buff up the linseed oil I’m putting on my swift, between coats, but it’s still too sticky from the last coat I gave it; I’m afraid the fibers would just stick to it and make a real mess.
Oh, I wore the first tunic for something other than a fitting today — it’s really nice to have a long-sleeved shirt that actually has sleeves the right length! Everything long-sleeved I get pre-made has too-long sleeves, if it fits elsewhere, and I’m not good enough at doing alterations to modify regular or sweatshirt-style cuffs. It’s not as warm as I’d hoped, but otherwise, I’m quite happy with its wearing characteristics.
