					<description>That's not too reassuring you know!  This thing did survive being whacked off as close to ground level as I could get it with loppers and a hacksaw (don't have a chainsaw).  But there wasn't all that much coming back up, and what did got hit with poison ivy killer (2,4D), so I'm hoping that yanking it up by the roots will solve the problem.</description>

					<description>I've got some azaleas that are a lit like your rose bushes.  Last year, after the hurricane, I had a big tree fall into 6 of my azaleas and crunched 'em up pretty good.  They were badly overgrown anyway.  So, I took my chainsaw and cut those suckers down to the ground.  Thought that was that.  But you should see them now.  They're at least three feet tall, and going strong.  Heh.</description>
